The Car
It came to my attention when I scanned over my past posts that I did not mention that the little white car is fixed, it was fixed shortly after I posted that comment about it still having oil pan problems. In fact, it has been running about three months now and Ive managed to put 10k miles on it already, and its still going strong. Knock on wood and pray for me. I would also mention that my wife has taken on some story writing of some kind in the last month or two and despite my interest I have yet to really see her work. Hopefully she will provide me with some of it and (as I think its posted online somewhere) I can share the link with you for everyone (who enjoys whatever genre of writing it is) to enjoy. Stay tuned....
The New Year and New Happenings
Well, a new year is upon us again. I sometimes wonder how I manage to survive my life and all the clutter I manage to gather in it. I've managed tor evamp working up to 6 days a week again, and I now have revived a programming project that I last brushed the dust off of about 4 1/2 years ago. But the fun doesn't stop there...no, never stops there. I now have a website to maintain that I havent bothered with in probably as long as my newly refound programming project, a website to maintain that I created for my Web Technology & Information Architecture class that I took last semester. Then I have my personal website, which is short for a place to dump all my pictures and family information because lest we forget that I have 2 blogs, one an online journal of sorts and the other one I have to vent my frustrations and opinions on world events and local happenings that I feel I need to unleash on an unsuspecting world. Then comes the other things that I have to deal with. I have a house that never sees what I would deem to be cleanliness (I have two children I can blame for at least 75% of this, my busy-as-all-get-out schedule is probably at least partly to blame, but I have to argue that my schedule would be a lot easier to manage without the children in the picture. Not saying that I want rid of my children, but you get my point. I digress.), I also have a house that hasnt seen livability in some time: The furnace hasn't worked in a year, the roof has leaked like a sieve since I moved in(almost 2 years now?) despite promises that it be fixed, and water pipes that freeze even with the water left running, because the landlord forgot that he promised to at least insulate the pipes(I want to see heat tape myself) at least 2 months ago when it started turning cold. My new spin on this is that I need to get my fat little behind in a new place to live because it has become obvious that these people are not going to invest the time and effort to fix the problems with this place. Perhaps I should be posting this to my rants blog. Anyway, my plate of stuff to do runneth over and I don't see an end in sight. Perhaps things will get better in the near future. Until then, if you care or you dont care, come back to see more happenings.
